Step Up Your Biosecurity with PeraGuard® AH

A New Safeguard Against Avian Influenza

U.S. poultry producers continue to battle Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). Over the past three years, as many as 166 million birds have been destroyed, and the impact has been devastating.

Biosecurity Starts with the Foot Pan

PeraGuard® AH is an EPA-registered dry formulation of peracetic acid designed to control Avian Influenza (HPAI). Its granular form is effective for foot pan biosecurity.

With our unique, patented formula, there's no need to replace your foot pan sanitizer constantly. Simply top it off when needed. PeraGuard® AH clings to footwear and wheeled traffic and keeps working as it is tracked around the farm, enhancing biosecurity where it matters most, especially against Avian Influenza.

Forget about the ongoing expense of liquid sanitizers that lose effectiveness quickly, require frequent replacement, and may have unpleasant odors. Expand your zone of protection against Avian Influenza with PeraGuard® AH at the entryway without the costly hassles of other formulations.

What Is Avian Influenza?

Avian influenza infections are caused by an enveloped influenza A virus. Avian Influenza is spread mainly by wild birds shedding the virus from their saliva, nasal secretions, and fecal droppings.

Enveloped viruses can be quickly inactivated with the proper disinfectants.

Step Up Your Biosecurity

Biosecurity goes beyond a specific product or tactic: it is a collection of practices and measures designed to prevent the introduction and spread of harmful pathogens, pests, and diseases within and between farms.

The key elements of a successful biosecurity culture include:

  • A deep commitment to safety and the management of pathogens.
  • A well-defined set of procedures for personnel.
  • A program guided by a strong biosecurity culture, enhancing compliance and making protocols easier to follow.

Establishing a robust biosecurity culture is not just important; it is fundamental to any mission.

How PeraGuard® AH Supports Biosecurity

PeraGuard® AH’s unique properties – moisture activation, adherence to footwear and wheeled traffic, and long-lasting formulation – make it an ideal first line of defense against cross-contamination and bacteria and viruses that can devastate livestock.

By implementing effective daily biosecurity measures, such as handwashing, minimizing visitors, and the right biocide formulations in the right places around the farm, you can significantly mitigate the chances of individuals, animals, machinery, or vehicles becoming carriers of infectious diseases such as HPAI.
